‘Friends’ “Yesterday… All my troubles seemed so far away. Oh I believe in yesterday.” Sorry to break the spell, but I don’t believe in yesterday. More than 90% of my ‘friends’ forgot my birthday and it gets worse when I tell you my own girlfriend forgot it too. Best birthday ever right?!? :D
NOT! So here’s what I figured out. If you don’t put up your birthday on Facebook, people just don’t care about it or simply forget it. And no, I’m not a hater of modern technology, I got several gadgets myself but what the hell? This isn’t right, this is not normal. This is really messed up. People are relying on modern tech to control their lives. Tech CAN help us, no doubt, but if it controls our lives, you know it has gotten out of hand. People should think for themselves but fewer and fewer people still do this. You can’t simply forget your friends because Facebook doesn’t have their information. You can’t, or at least that’s what I thought. Turns out it is possible. To all those people, who depend on tech to control their lives, I say this: …
Actually, I have no words for them and those that I have, aren’t polite enough to put them on my blog. And thanks to the ones, who did not forget, eventhough most of you just knew because one of my friends who did remember posted it on Facebook-wall and so you remembered too and had the courage to send a text or anything after all. Thanks anyway.
To all those others: gfy.
